What you might want to discuss
For example:
- Situations connected with drinking or drug use.
- Effects on health, relationships, work or money.
- A change you want to make and support already involved.
How I work with this
We can examine a recent example: what happened beforehand, what you were thinking and feeling, what you used and what followed. My training includes a specialist qualification in drug and alcohol counselling. We agree whether counselling or another service is appropriate.
Counselling for alcohol and drug concerns
Alcohol and drug use can be discussed in counselling at the published counselling rate. Counselling is not detox or withdrawal treatment. If you may be physically dependent on alcohol, contact your GP or alcohol service before stopping suddenly.
Appointments
Start with a free welcome call to discuss what you want to work on and ask about sessions. We agree appointments separately, subject to availability.

Do I have to admit I’m an addict before I can book?+
Is the goal always to quit completely?+
What actually qualifies you to work on addiction specifically?+
Will you tell my family or employer?+
