Purpose and direction
counselling for men

If you want to reconsider how you spend your time or what you are working towards, we can explore that in counselling.

What you might want to discuss

For example:

  • A choice between different directions.
  • Expectations you want to question.
  • Changes in what matters to you.

How I work with this

We can look at the commitments you have, the choices available and the limits that apply. I may draw on FACT training to explore values and possible actions. We do not need to turn the discussion into a single life plan.

Appointments

Start with a free welcome call to discuss what you want to work on and ask about sessions. We agree appointments separately, subject to availability.

Before you book

Questions worth asking.

I don't have a specific problem - is this still for me?+
Yes. We can begin by discussing what prompted your enquiry and what you would like to explore.
Is this the same as a life coach?+
This is counselling with an NCPS Accredited Registrant. We agree a focus that may include decisions, feelings and your relationships.
What if I can't explain what's wrong on the first call?+
You can describe what prompted the call or ask questions about counselling. We can discuss the next step from there.
Can we discuss a change in what matters to me?+
Yes. We can explore your priorities and the decisions or relationships affected by that change.
Do I need a long-term goal for counselling about purpose?+
We can begin with the questions you have now and agree what you want to explore.
